Mesa, Ariz. (Oct. 2, 2024) — Able Aerospace Services, Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, an industry leader in repair, overhaul, exchange and approved replacement parts for fixed- and rotor-wing customers around the world, has certified as a Green Aviation Business under the National Air Transportation Association (NATA), which encourages environmental sustainability within the industry.
NATA’s Sustainability Standard is designed to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, increase use of more environmentally friendly energy sources, reduce waste and encourage sustainability across the business. Able Aerospace achieved certification by installing a machine-learning system on air compressors to reduce energy, installing motion-sensor lighting, and implementing an Energy Management System for heating and cooling in its Mesa, Arizona, facility.

The NATA Sustainability Standard is a self-certification process for aviation businesses to pursue flexible, cost-effective options to lower their carbon footprint.
